For everyone who needs more space: private individuals, companies, associations, clubs and everything else. You can flexibly rent a storage room at placeB for as long as you want.

You need a smartphone with an internet connection. To enter the building, you need mobile data on your smartphone, as our Wi-Fi only works inside the building. With the free placeB app, your smartphone becomes your digital key for accessing the building and your box.

This is your personal self-storage unit, clean, secure, accessible via app. Available in various sizes (1 to 50 m³).

Our storage boxes are available in different sizes from 1 to 50 m³, depending on the location.

Prices vary depending on location, size and rental period. Our smallest placeB box (1 m³) is available from CHF 40 per month, depending on the location.

We only require a deposit in exceptional cases, for example in the event of insufficient creditworthiness. In this case, you can either pay by credit card or pay a deposit of three months' rent. At the end of the contract, we will refund the deposit in full, provided there are no outstanding payments.

Yes, you can! After booking, you have seven days to view the booked box and try out the app access.

Important: The test phase only applies to viewing and access, not to storage. As soon as you store something, the option to cancel ends.

If you are not convinced after the visit, you can cancel via the app or by e-mail to info@placeb.ch. Amounts already paid will be refunded in full.

You need the storage room later? No problem, we can postpone the start date by up to two months. Just get in touch during our office hours (Mon-Fri, 9-17:30).

You can pay by credit card, TWINT or invoice.

Yes, we charge an invoice fee of CHF 5 per invoice for payments by invoice (TWINT, bank transfer or standing order). Payment by credit card is free of charge.

By default, you will receive a monthly invoice by e-mail on the same day as your contract start date (e.g. start date on the 12th → invoice on the 12th day of the month).

If you pay by credit card, the amount will be charged automatically on the same day (e.g. start date on the 12th → charge on the 12th day of the month).

Exception: Invoices are issued weekly for weekly rentals.

We send all invoices exclusively by e-mail.

Mastercard, Visa and American Express.

If your invoice is not paid within 10 days, our system will automatically block your storage unit. If you pay by credit card, the storage unit will be blocked immediately if the charge fails.

Your credit card doesn't work? Charge it or update it in the app under “User account”. Contact us (info@placeb.ch) so that we can carry out the charge manually and unblock your storage unit again.

We process all matters relating to late payments during our office hours (Mon-Fri, 09:00-17:30).

If payment is outstanding for a longer period, we will automatically initiate debt collection via our debt collection partner. We reserve the right to clear the storage space or to sell it. You can find further information in our GTC.

You can save your credit card in your app under “User account”.

Unfortunately not. You can only enter your credit card in the app.

The minimum rental period is one month (one week for weekly contracts). If you choose a longer rental period when booking, you will benefit from discounts:

3 months 5 %, 6 months 10 %, 12 months 15 %.

You undertake to rent the box for at least the booked period. Early termination is only possible in justified exceptional cases. In this case, we will retroactively charge the discount granted as well as a processing fee of CHF 50.

Yes, you can book your box up to two months in advance and choose a later start date (for example: book today, start in 6 weeks).

Would you like to choose a start date that is more than two months in the future? Contact us (info@placeb.ch) and we will find a solution.

If you already have a user account, you can book a new box directly in the placeB app. (see “Add new box”)

Are you new to placeB? Then book your box on our website: Select your region, location and box size and click on “Book now”. After booking, download the placeB app to your smartphone to open your box.

Yes, the minimum rental period is one week (for weekly contracts) or one month (for monthly contracts).

If you book a term of 3, 6 or 12 months, this is the minimum rental period. You will receive discounts: 3 months 5 %, 6 months 10 %, 12 months 15 %.

There is no maximum rental period. Your contract is automatically extended as long as you do not cancel. You can simply cancel in the placeB app.

There are no fixed notice periods. If you don't cancel, your contract will automatically be extended by a further week or month, depending on the minimum rental period selected.

If you give notice, the following applies:

• Within the minimum rental period: The contract runs until the end of the booked term.
• After the minimum rental period: The contract ends with the current billing period.

Example: Start on the 12th → Contract runs until the 11th of the following month. If you do not cancel by the 11th at the latest, your contract will be extended automatically.

Important: You have access to your box until the last day, shortly before midnight.

How to cancel in the app:

• Log in to the app
• Select the box
• Click on “Contract details”
• Select “Cancel contract”

Yes, the placeB app makes it possible. All your boxes are clearly displayed in your account under “My boxes”.

Not automatically, but insurance against theft, fire and water damage is compulsory.

You have two options:

• Via your household contents insurance: Clarify whether stored items are also insured.
• Via placeB: Insure your items directly with us (simply check the box in the contract). Costs: CHF 6 per month per CHF 10,000 value of goods.

Our insurance is often cheaper than extending your household contents insurance.

This happens automatically! If you do not cancel, your contract will be extended by a further month (for weekly contracts by a further week).

Quite simply in the placeB app:

• Log in to the app
• Select your box
• Click on "Contract details"
• Select "Cancel contract"

No, you open your placeB Box and all doors, from the building entrance to the storage room, with our free placeB app.

Immediately after booking online or from the selected start date, you will receive access to the placeB app.

No, with the placeB app you have access to your box around the clock.

Exception: Basic Storage offers. Special access times apply depending on the location.

Yes, with the placeB app you can give access to as many people as you like (see “Share access”). You decide whether the person only has short-term or permanent access.

Short-term access: enter

phone number or e-mail, the person will receive an opening link via SMS or e-mail with which they can open your box. Important: Don't forget the country code (e.g. +41).

Permanent access:

The person registers in the app and sees your box under “My boxes - shared with me”. They can open the box at any time as long as you share access with this person.

Yes, that works. But be careful: the door cannot be closed again remotely. Therefore, only open your box when you or someone you trust is standing in front of it.

Your cell phone is the key, so it's best to keep it with you at all times.

If you have accidentally locked it, borrow a smartphone from someone you trust, download the placeB app and log in with your user account. If this doesn't work, reset your password. This will allow you to open the box again.

Important: Remember to log out again afterwards, especially if it is not your device.

Our locations are chosen so that they are easily accessible. A trolley is available on site for you to conveniently bring your things to the box.

Basically everything that common sense allows.

Not permitted are: Toxic, explosive, dangerous, perishable or illegal items, as well as living creatures, plants or strong-smelling material. Textiles or real hair (e.g. furs or carpets) must be packed airtight.

Your box is intended exclusively for storage. Use as a hobby room, rehearsal room or sleeping area is not permitted.

Your box is intended for storage, not as a workplace. You may repack or sort stored material, but permanent work is not permitted for safety and liability reasons.

No, for safety reasons there are no power or water connections in the boxes.

No. Each box is built with sheet steel walls all around and cannot be seen from the outside. Only you and authorized persons have access.

The box must be empty, clean and closed.

Internet connection:

To open your box, you need an active internet connection and mobile data on your cell phone. You need mobile data to enter the building; our Wi-Fi is only available once you have entered the building. Access will not work without internet. Please plan for this before your visit.

Emergency opening:

There is a white cord hanging behind the lock on your box. Pull it if you accidentally lock yourself in without your cell phone. Make sure that the cord remains free, otherwise the lock will jam the next time you open it.

Tip: Sometimes our storage room doors have days when they don't feel like springing open. In this case, it helps to give the opening command several times and pull lightly on the top of the door as soon as you hear the opening sound.

Yes, as long as the right box is available, you can book it directly in the placeB app.

How to change your box:

• Book the new box: In the placeB app under “Add new box”. Bookings can be made up to two months in advance.
• Relocate: As soon as your new box is booked, relocate all items.
• Cancel your old box: If your previous box is empty and swept clean, cancel it directly in the app.

Tip: Ideally, plan the start date of the new box for the end of your current billing period. This will give you enough time to relocate and avoid double costs.

All locations have a main entrance that you can open around the clock with the placeB app. You can find all the important details in the app under “My boxes” → “Location info”. Under “Access” you can unlock the doors directly.

On the start page of the app, below “Login”, you will find the option “Forgot password”: tap it and enter the e-mail address you used to book with us. You will then receive an email to set a new password.

• If the app just spins and nothing happens, first check whether you have installed the latest version of the placeB app and update it if necessary.
• If it still doesn't work after that, it may be due to your smartphone's security settings. Reset them or contact your phone provider directly if you are stuck.

• Please check your e-mail address, you can only log in with the e-mail address you originally booked with.
• Make sure that you have not made a typing error, e.g. try logging in at other locations with your e-mail address.

Check first:

• Are you logged into the app?
• Do you have internet (mobile data or our Wi-Fi, you can find the password at the entrance or in the app under “Location info”)?
• Has your contract already started? Under “My boxes” you can see which start date you have selected. You only have access from this date.
• Is your contract still active, or have you already cancelled it?
• Do you have any outstanding invoices? The box will be blocked if you are in arrears. Pay all outstanding amounts and your access will be reactivated.

Then try the following:

• Log out of the app and log in again.
• Check whether you have the latest app version. If not: update the app.

Tip: Sometimes our doors need a little push. Give the opening command again and pull gently on the top of the door as soon as you hear the sound.
